The Alumni Association has been busy. You will soon be able to view editions of the “Watchtower” starting with 1911 through 1987 online by clicking on the ARCHIVES link. Issues from 1988-2009 (minus 2002) are available at a very reasonable price through the Journalism Department @ $15.00 each. Contact Sarah Miers or Connie Schwab in the Bookstore

Plans are underway for the class of ’68′s 45th reunion. Check their website or Facebook page for details. Reunion will take place the weekend of July 26-28, 2013.

1973 Class Reunion

The Class of ’73 is having their 40th reunion this summer on August 23rd and 24th. Friday night there will be an informal mixer at the new Stern Center in downtown R.I. and Saturday night there will be 3-meat buffet at Jumer’s Hotel and Casino in R.I. There will also be a Golf Outing on Friday and a tour of Rocky on Saturday. Visit the Class of 1973 website for more information!

New Alumni Function/Gathering

This from Abbie Metz concerning this Friday’s game against Alleman:

“Our alumni group is looking to have a fundraiser this coming Friday, January 25th. This will be taking place at the Rocky vs Alleman basketball game. The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise awareness and prevention of suicide. We have two foundations to which we will be donating. Two fundraisers that we are doing for sure are selling tshirts and wristbands that we have designed as well as having a bake sale. We are working on two other fundraisers. One is getting the 50/50 raffle to be donated to our awareness group. An the other is to have a post game fundraiser. I will be taking flyers to the high school to get the word out to get the high schoolers. We look forward to seeing you there in your Red and Gold! Thanks!”

The Class of ’68 meets the first Wednesday of each month @ Martini’s on the Rock (4619 34th street)…6:30ish. The Class of ’69 also has been invited to join them.

Class of ’78 Reunion Info

Mark your calendars for October 4-5, 2013! That Friday night will be the home game between Rocky and Alleman.

A Saturday 10:00 tour of the high school is scheduled. Plan on meeting outside the field house by the “Rock.”

Saturday night festivities are to take place at Gendler’s Black Ram located at the corner of 30th street & 14th avenue.

Needed are contacts for all classmates as the original list no longer exists. Send all information to Belinda Bonsall Leonard and make sure you check out the Class of 1978′s facebook site.
